Here at The Deep Blue we make all of our jewelry using Maine Sea Glass Beads.  Maine Sea Glass Beads are made from glass that has been exposed to the elements of weather, and the ebb and flow of the ocean's tide.  After being exposed to these elements for many years, the glass becomes worn and frosted.  The glass is harvested at the shore where the ocean's tide tosses it up.  This glass is commonly referred to as genuine or authentic beach or sea glass.  Once the glass is harvested, it is washed with a mild soap and a small hole is drilled completely through.  No other processing of any kind is done to the glass.
